Another vote for Sparkpeople.com. It’s totally free and my two co-workers and I have lost a combined 72 lbs in 5 months. It’s about a lifestyle change – not a quick fix. There’s Sparkteens for young’uns and sparkpeople is good for 18+. You start slowly, making small changes and then build good habits over time. I still have a long way to go in my own weight loss, but one of my co-workers is at her final goal and the other is half-way to hers.
Americans are getting obese for so many reasons, it’s hard to blame any one thing. I’d also like to point out that other European countries are reporting increases in obesity due to children being less active and sitting around playing video games.
sorry to tell ya there arn’t any. The only real way is the hard way
REMEMBER!!! THE KEY TO LOSING WEIGHT IS
-nutrition
-physical excersice
-sleep
it sucks, but it works u’ll see ur body change in 2 month, but thats with proper diet.

I’m not too sure if there is. But I do now, that it is possible to lose weight and keep it off. I have for many years struggled with my weight. Have been and tried almost every diet. Although, most of them worked. Unfortunately, like many people as soon as I stopped them all the weight piled back on again, plus more.
So 19 months ago I decided to change my lifestyle. The results were absolutely amazing. I lost 48lbs in just over 6 months. A change of lifestyle is just what it means. Changing your eating habits, making the right choices in food and exercising on a regular basis.
I kept all junk foods, ready made meals you buy in the supermarket, alcohol and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum. These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat. Junk food is just what it says – JUNK. With one added ingredient in – FAT.
I included more wholefoods into my diet. Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans & pulses. These are high in fibre and will keep you feeling fuller for longer.
I eat lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), fish with scales on (no batter on), eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes) making sure I keep the carborhydrates plain and simple), low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, and non sugary cereals.
Diet really has to be about 70%. Exercise is really important. I know, that exercise helped acelerate my weight loss.
I joined a gym. Attended 3/4 times a week. Walked whenever I could. I also included swimming and took up riding a bike. This sounds like a lot, but it really isn’t. I spent roughly about 40/60 minutes of exercise a day if I could. You can break the exercise up into 2 intervals. 30 mins in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening if you wish. The more you MOVE the BETTER.
Anyway, I have tried not to go on too much. But this is how I managed to lose my weight. As to date have been able to maintain my weight loss with ease.
Try to set yourself a goal and stick to it. It is possible to lose weight, just as it is possible to put weight on. Be patient. Just by losing a pound a week you have done very well. If you can keep this up then in six months you will have lost 24lbs, getting on for 2 stones. That is roughly dropping 2 dress sizes. This way the weight loss is more likely to be sustatined in the long term.
I wish you lots of good luck.
