Are You More Likely To Gain Weight On Your Upper Body As You Age??
I used to be very proportional when I was in my early 20’s but I’m almost 30 and I feel like my upper body is gaining the weight more than my lower half!!!…I am actually trying to gain weight but it seems the weight is settling on the upper half rather than the lower half!!
Is it really more likely for you to gain weight on the top than the bottom???
It is more difficult for women to maintain their weight, as compared to men, because of their hormones and genetics.
Aging , hormones and genetics are the primary reasons that women will tend to gain weight in places they hadn’t previously, such in your case.
It is very common that when an adult woman gains weight that she will gain it in her breasts first.
Just as it is very common for women who Loose weight, it usually is first noticeable due to the reduced size of the breasts.
It is commonly referred to as the “Middle Aged Spread.”
It doesn’t mean that YOU are middle aged, that is just a term so don’t be offended! lol
There are various exercises that you can do (like weight lifting and yoga) to help with this type of problem, if you are really concerned about it.
I hope this information helps you out some.
Good Luck! =)
Actually, it IS genetics. Even though you seem to be gaining it in different places now. That’s normal. Yes, your breasts can get larger as you get older.
